Curving paths meeting at a mirrored sphere
A garden left unusable by a large extension built for the owners' severely disabled daughter. We cleared it, levelled it and designed it around sound, smell and touch, with paths branching out from a centre point so every part of it can be reached.
The house has long views over the local landscape and no usable outside space at all.
What we built
Our team spent a long time clearing the land before any of it could be landscaped. It had to be level, with access to all areas, so the paths branch out from the centre point. The garden was designed around her special needs, so it is about sounds, smells and feelings. A large patio went in at the top to make the most of the sun, and a brand-new lawn went down, with sleeper beds and paths marking out different spaces inside it.
