The half you never see

Most of a patio is underneath it. We dig out, sort the drainage, set the falls and get the base right before a flag goes down. On a Bramhope garden that meant taking out 37 tons of soil and putting 10 tons of hardcore back in before the paving started. The ground was too steep and the access too tight to do it any other way.

Indian sandstone, Kandla grey, old York pavers, tumbled setts and random walling stone. Which one suits depends on the house, the light it gets and what you want to spend, so we talk it through before anything is ordered.

Whole gardens, or one job

We rethink whole gardens, and we come and do single jobs. That might be a set of steps that never felt safe, a path that puddles, or a drive that has had its day. Tell us which it is, send a photo if you can.
