Privacy policy

This page explains what we do with your personal information when you contact us or use this website. It is written to be read, not to be impressive. If anything here is unclear, ring us and ask.

Who we are

Gagajoo Gardens and Landscapes Limited is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 06662552, at 17 Swincar Avenue, Yeadon, Leeds LS19 7PF. You can reach us at enquiries@gagajoolandscapes.co.uk or on 07979 593662.

What we collect

When you fill in an enquiry form, we collect your name, your email address, any phone number you give us, whatever you write in the message, and any photos you attach. If you email or ring instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that message or call.

If we come out to look at your garden, we will also hold the address of the property and our own notes, measurements and photographs of the work.

When you use the website, our hosting and analytics tools record technical information such as your device type, your approximate location from your IP address, and the pages you looked at.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and price the work. We use your contact details and your message to reply, arrange a visit and give you an estimate. The lawful basis is that you have asked us to take these steps before any contract.
  • To carry out and keep records of work we do for you. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligations for tax and accounting records.
  • To see how the website is used. The lawful basis is your consent, given through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails.

Cookies and measurement

The site sets a small number of cookies that are needed for it to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. Those are always on.

If you agree, we also use Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages get read, and a Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure how many people who saw one of our Facebook posts went on to enquire. Both set cookies in your browser and both share data with the company that provides them, including transfers outside the UK under their standard contractual protections. If you do not agree, neither is loaded. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not turn into work for twelve months, then delete them. Where we have done work for you, we keep the job records for six years after the work finishes, because our accountants and HMRC need them.

Who else sees it

Only the suppliers who run the tools we use — our website host, our email provider, and the analytics providers named above. They act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your information for anything else. We will also disclose information if the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it, where we do not need to keep it;
  • restrict or object to what we are doing with it;
  • send a copy of it to you or to somebody else in a portable format.

Email enquiries@gagajoolandscapes.co.uk and tell us what you want. We will reply within one month. It is free, and we will not ask you why.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this page

If we change what we do with personal data, we will update this page. It was last updated in July 2026.
