A two-tone stone path under a pergola

A garden well past its best, rebuilt with a good deal in it: a new fence in horizontal timbers, a large pergola, raised sleeper planters, a slate stone water feature and a Modak path edged in tumbled setts.

The garden had gone a long way past its best. It was designed with lots of different elements in it, and it started with the fence.

What we built

Horizontal timbers went up to make the new fence look modern. Along that side we built a large pergola with raised sleeper planters beneath it, and put a slate stone water feature on the opposite side. The main patios are laid in Kandla grey slabs. A Modak coloured path, edged in tumbled setts, runs from the rebuilt steps to the new gate.
