A sandstone patio with raised beds
A nursery in Ilkley needed safe, hard-wearing paving for the children, parents and staff arriving and leaving each day. We replaced and extended the patio, laid a new path from the main road and built raised beds the children can reach.
The nursery wanted safe access for everybody using it, right through the week.
What we built
We replaced and extended the existing patio, laid a new path from the main road to the entrance and created a section of raised beds. The paving was chosen with the children's welfare in mind, and to wear well under the number of people crossing it every day. The raised beds were built at an accessible height so the children can get to them as part of an activity.
